I was just messing around on BBTS, and checked my account to see the status of a delivery. They show you the history of all your orders and I decided to grab my calculator and add them all up. I started ordering from them in 2007 and the amount of money I have dumped into that place is staggering. If my wife knew she would KILL me. Accountability is a bitch.

It's kind of scary. The worst part is I had no idea. I guess financial responsibility is what seperates the guys with thousands of dollars in the bank from guys with thousands of G.I. Joes in the closet.

If it's what you want it doesn't matter.

Mine was pretty close to that, and your right-that does not count ebay or brick & mortar purchases that probably equal more than the BBTS bills. Good thing I never considered this hobby an "investment" because there is no way in hell it is worth what I have shelled out (to anyone other than myself).

In 2009 I documented every penny I spent on toys, (which was 90% Joes) the total came out to be $1804.45.
Suffice to say, I'm taking it easy in 2010, I'm kinda glad for this break before POC. Thank God for the Tank, I saved so much $ b/c of the info here- BBTS sales, figures at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Big Lots, etc. |

I have an Excel spreadsheet that I keep my inventory in, it has a "bought" column for the price I paid.
I don't add it up. I'm afraid to add it up.

I haven't added mine up, but I know that I've spent at least $1,300 on Sideshow Joe's...and that's just within the last few months. Keep in mind I've sold my collection of Heroclix & Heroscape to pay for them. They where both great games, but I haven't played them for a few years.

& how much do you waste on drink in the bars? Bet that would outweigh the total spent on Joes for most.
Yea maybe nice going down but that`s it whilst the figures etc are keepers. |
