Complex litigations, this is john speaking. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH JOHNNY!!! That, combined with the podcast with Adam Carrolla where they talk movies has me laughing my ass off. Great columns too. Mailbags are fun as well. |

I've actually seen him on the field twice, and I'd be willing to bet I know as much about him currently as many Sooners fans.
I, too am just saying. Bradford isn't even the second most athletic QB in the draft (size and arm strength aside, he's the slowest of the top three out of the pocket and his footwork is dreadful for a shotgun quarterback - and believe me, I'd like to say that Clausen, McCoy, and even Tebow are less athletic than Bradford, but they simply aren't. Clausen makes up for underdeveloped pocket awareness and similarly poor footwork with an ability to read coverages and make fast, accurate decisions to throw. Amazing that Sooners fans and Bradford apologists say he throws the best deep ball in Division 1 and is spot on with go routes and don't realize Bradford doesn't throw even a mediocre dump or long ball when forced out of the pocket to make throws. Overall Bradford's ability to handle the pass rush is a scouting issue because he overreads route coverages - and that translates directly into taking sacks he shouldn't when he should be throwing the ball away. Fortunately for Bradford, his upsides nudge him over Clausen's happy feet and Tebow's mechanics proved just suspect enough to hurt his prospects as a top QB pick. Clausen's downsides are more obvious and Tebow's arm mechanics so brutal that Bradford would be the top QB prospect regardless of whether he goes #1 overall or not. REALLY unfortunate for McCoy, because he's easily the most complete football player at that position in this draft and analysts that make a living at it have been saying that since before the combine. But McCoy's height is an issue for scouts and they've been saying that since McCoy announced he was coming back for last season. Oh, and I detest Mel Kiper and I wanted to gouge out my own eyes everytime Jon Gruden sat down with a draft prospect on SportsCenter the last few weeks. Especially that Jimmy Clausen sit-down where he threw his wideouts under the bus. Sheesh. (Mayock loves him as does Michael Irwin. Irwin "if Gerald McCoy at Top five player himself says 'Sam's our leader' you better believe the guy is good and will be a franchise type QB"). Also, Strong rumors that Redskins will take Eric Berry at #4 and not Okung or Williams. In that case Trent goes #6 to Seattle and plays for Petey.
