I really like the early Anita Blake series by Laurel K. Hamilton. I hate her Meredith Gentry craptastic books.
As a science teacher I really really enjoy reading old fiction, reading stories about things that are now so common place as to be unappreciated is very mind opening; the Tarzan series is great as is the Pellucidar series, Sherlock Holmes is amazing, Around the world in 80 Days, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, etc. |
