Hill's was awesome back in the day. We didn't have one close where I grew up but I can remember a couple times a year getting to one. They were a gold-mine of toys. I would just stand in the toy isle the entire time my parents would be shopping.
Jamesway was also great, they had a great selection of toys. |

I read an article a few years back and it was a former Children's Palace store manager. He was telling a story about his store was closing down and they were having this huge 50-75% off sale.
He said they were finding cases of Original Mego superhero figures. He said he bought a few cases for like $2-3 a case. Spiderman, Batman, Superman MOC. |

What was Fisher's Big Wheel? I am now collecting Full uncut file cards and vintage vehicles with boxes that have store price stickers on them. I bought a S.N.A.K.E. at a toy show a few years ago and it had Fisher's Big Wheel on the sticker. I had/have no idea what this store was.
Could you tell me a little about it.

My mom worked part-time a Woolworths when I was a kid, during the prime Joe years, 1984-1987. As an employee, she got a 20% discount. Those were the days. We'd go there on Friday afternoons so she could pick up her check and so I could buy Joes.

I agree all the way. G.I. Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Ghostbusters, M.A.S.K., C.O.P.S., TMNT, Battle Beasts. I am glad I got my son into super heros and Super Hero Squad toys at the age of 2. He loves SHS figures. I 've got him close to 40 of them so far.

Completely agree. My first Joes, MOTU, and Transformers all came from Hills. Maybe it was my age then, but nothing today comes even remotely close, as most stores in my area feel like toy wastelands.
