they should do a show called " American Repackers" it could be about a couple guys who go around to different stores, buy stuff, bring it home, take out whats in it, repack it with something else, go back to the store, get their money back for the item, and then do it again. That show would be awesome.
this is all sarcasm by the way. would just be another show about scammers

On more than one occasion they have offered well above what the owner stated they would take for the item. In fact, on Monday's episode they brought a sign that they paid $100 for to a previous contact and simply gave it to him. They appear to be pretty honest guys.

I can't see it lasting another season or two. Once people get wise to the scam (but then we have to believe that the people they are scamming actually have cable...or running water for that matter) the show will be over. My wife and I pretend the tall skinny guy is Bob Saget (Full House) and the short fat guy is Al (Home Improvement)...the show is much more enjoyable this way.

I don't really see them scamming anyone. If you think about it some of the stuff they "pick" would be thrown away when the owner dies. Most of the places they go the owner of the property is 100 years old and what wouldn't be auctioned off or in a will would be trashed and scrapped. I think most of the time they do these folks a favor by taking some of that stuff off the owners hands. One mans trash is another man's treasure! Pick on pickers

I wish History Channel would just play "Band of Brothers" reruns instead of "Pickers" and "Pawn Stars"!

^^ exactly my point man. They come by and listen to all these cool stories from older folks and in some cases get to buy some sh1t. Wouldn't you love if in 50 years some "pickers" would come by and say hey that collection of joes you have is really cool, I'll give ya 100 bucks for that roc cobra commander instead of it hitting a landfill? Gimme the hundo and let someone else appreciate it for generations to come. They're preserving history, learning some sh1t, and getting paid lol
