Which may also be playing into her decision. Maybe there's a possibility that Tiger could use the courts to his advantage so that she doesn't end up with much of anything if she divorces him. (Like maybe Sweden's divorce courts are less generous than the US or vice-versa). Quote:
Did I deny that she should get anything? no.
I said shes in it for the money because if someone cheated on me that many times and I had the option of taking my kids and leaving, and finding someone better suited to take care of them with me rather than ruining my family further, I would. Feel free to get off my nuts any time, this wasnt a planned drama debate. It doesn't really matter what your "plan" was (though I kinda doubt you had one). You made the statement, now deal with the consequences. |

I'm not sure if she's a citizen or not. She may have dual citizenship (Swedish, incidentally). But that might be another issue, as well. From my understanding it gets VERY murky when trying to enforce civil rulings across national lines. A court can order something in particular, but doesn't really have the power to enforce it in another country, even if those countries are allies. The other country can choose to honor it, but isn't necessarily mandated to do so. At least, that's my understanding.

Aww, I'm sorry, are you getting upset that you got called out on casting aspersions on the person that as far as anyone can tell is blameless in this mess? It doesn't really matter what your "plan" was (though I kinda doubt you had one). You made the statement, now deal with the consequences. Consequences of what? listening to some guy on a forum slander me because of my opinion? no I don't think I have to. But if it makes you feel better about yourself feel free to keep posting.

Enough you two, last warning.
Didn't Elin buy property in Sweden, when all this came about? I wonder if her being a landowner might be even more complicating the matter. But I think, either way, the dual citizenship is what is preventing a divorce right now.

Probably not if they got married in the US which is the state that legalized that marriage.

Incidentally, it's libel, and only counts if I were actually writing lies about you. So far, nothing I've said has been a lie. Just me calling you out and you dancing around admitting that what you said was a rude remark that essentially paints Tiger's wife as a crazy gold-digger that probably had it coming. Hey, you know what that is? It's libel! Hi pot, I'm kettle! I'm sure you'll try to craft some "Oh my god that's totally not what I meant!" statement to counter that, but if that were the case, then maybe next time you'll explain yourself a little better right out of the gate, huh? |

Mostly I'm just remembering that case from last year with the guy whose Japanese wife hauled off back home to Japan with their two kids, and Japan not recognizing court-rulings in the US that gave the father custody because their laws were different (and basically always give custody to the mother no matter what). |

At the golf course, one mistook an attractive fan for one of the mistresses:
"Excuse me, ma'am - are you the stripper?" The female fan was left speechless until the minder realized his gaffe and apologized. C'mon guys, You gotta lighten up and cheer up with some humor. |
