I always hated surfer gear. Never liked OP. I absolutely hate Hollister. Seriously I would rather wear drag than Hollister. But there's really only one brand that anyone should wear-
Drunknmunky / Urban Streetwear only had one pair of "designer" jeans.Poor Boy.actually i liked them, light weight and not as hot in summer as thick jeans are.

Ocean Pacific was very cool. I used to have plenty OP, and Bugle Boy when I was younger. My mom used to get most of it from Kids 'R' Us back the day, to bad they got rid of them.

op and it's various shades of pastel, were quite popular this side of the pond around the mid to late eighties when the acid-house scene kicked-off and started spreading like wild fire.i have very fond memories of that heady and decandent period of time!

I grew up as a skater/snowboarder/surfer in central/southern Maine and honestly, OP was NEVER cool where I lived. We made fun of the kids who wore OP thinking they were cool. They were hicks who thought they were cool because they had an OP blue and yellow windbreaker. OP and Vuarnet was the stuff posers wore because they could buy it at the mall. Those of us who skated/snowboarded/surfed bought our stuff at the shops. There was no internet and catalogs werent even readily available like they are today. You had to go to 17th Street in North Carolina and buy something, THEN you got on their mailing list. Where I lived, us skaters/snowboarders/surfers wore Airwalk, LibTech, Simms, 17th Street, Dogpile, Vans, Billabong and Hobie shirts, shorts, pants and sneakers. We also wore jeans and our favorite band tees, along with thermal henleys and the like. But yeah, OP was NOT cool where I was from.
