just thought i'd put my two cents in, I am a biologist, working on masters in health admin and part of the apha, so i've done a lot of health studies and read a lot of papers. I have to say that to this day I have never found a paper that proves that vaccines are linked to autism. the scientific proof is just not there. besides the very marginal dangers that vaccines can cause are vastly outweighed by the benefit of them. I also wanted to comment that if you want to find legitimate articles and research on subjects use google scholar, it will search for professional peer reviewed articles only. This means you can trust what they say and what they write is usually legitimate and scientificially backed
anyways hope this helps |

I can only say my kids, and all of our friends kids have recieved full vaccines... And they are all normal (well, as normal as kids can be nowadays!)...
But i can understand your hesitation... As somebody that had to receive the full battery of Anthrax shots without being able to say no, i will never let a needle close to my family or myself again until i have researched everything i can about what is in it... |

to add, the evidence linking mercury is also not out there.
In the past, the mercury levels were actually higher in the vaccines. In response to this theoretical risk, manufacturers decreased the mercury used or eliminated the preservative. Despite this, we have more and more cases of autism diagnosed. Again, there might be sporadic cases of autism linked to vaccines and/or mercury. But this relationship is not consistent. Vaccines have eradicated so many deadly diseases. Now we have morons like Jenny McCarthy saying don't vaccinate, and as a result, we are having outbreaks of measles and mumps and formerly eradicated bacterial diseases. Not vaccinating puts all children at risk for disease, and is really quite selfish, in my opinion. |

We had our son vaccinated a few months ago, and while my wife had a few more concerns than I did, we both felt fine doing it. It comes down to this: you go with the science and info you have at the time. If you vaccinate, perhaps there is that risk, though it's up for debate. But think if you don't vaccinate, what are the risks? The latter outweighs the former, at least in my mind. But it's tough, I know.

Well the Vaccine I was worried about was the MMR Vaccine. That's the one that people think causes Autism.
As it turns out, my daughter actually already got the MMR Vaccine in December. The people who claim that it causes autism, there kids showed signs in 1 day to 2 weeks after the MMR vaccine was given. So it looks like were in the clear. I also asked about Thimerosal, which some people think causes Autism, my doctor told me they do not give out any vaccines in there clinic that contain Thimerosal, including the Flu Shot. Thank you to everyone who posted on this thread and tried to help me out. I really appreciate the big response.
