There are a lot more studies out there that find no links to autism through vaccinations than a study that only had 10 participants. But asking Tankers what there take on it is, is not the right way to go about making a decision. It's that type of attitude that is making it hard to turn around the beliefs built up by the retracted study. If you have problems figuring out if something is legit on the internet, check the sources. Read the studies in the medical journals themselves, if the data is hard to understand, read reviews of the studies by medical professionals. Do not make your decision based upon what Tankers opinions are.

I have 2 beautiful, healthy, non-autistic children who have had all of their vaccinations. We also researched and found no definite link between the vaccines and a link to autism.

Yeah I'd talk to doctors, not people on a Toy Message board.

he's obviously not looking for medical advice he is going to base his decisions on 100%, he is simply looking for opinions and experience to take comfort in. I think even toy collectors are able to provide that.

Our generation has never bore witness to the horror of epidemics like smallpox or polio. The vaccines that were developed to prevent these deadly illnesses worked so well that we forgot how awful the illness is. Just ask an elderly person who remembers the polio epidemic if they think vaccines are a bad Idea.

There is no real evidence to suggest that vaccines will cause Autism.
NPR did a nice piece on the measles vaccine and children on Monday. Check it out: Measles Resurgence Tied To Parents' Vaccine Fears : NPR

There's also alot of people that believe:
the moon landing was fake 911 was an inside job there are tracking chips in your money the white trails from airplanes are chemicals being spryaed on you get more info and talk to other parents and doctors that you trust. Besides, look at all of the kids running around today that have had their vaccinations that arnt autistic. |

Another question: Is Jenny McCarthy a moron?
Answer: possibly. She's he one spearheading this whole deal and there are tons of articles debunking her. One of her largest bits of evidence is a certain ingredient in vaccines...which hasn't been used in years. Also, her kid may not actually even be autistic. He had symptoms as a baby, but they allegedly arent too pronounced now. My kids are vaccinated. I can't personally say what's harmful or not. My brother and I both got vaccines and he's mildly autistic and I'm not. We both also lived under the same sun. We even played with the same G.I.Joes in '82. G.I.Joes cause autism!! It's not really funny since it seems autism is becoming strangely common and there are so many unnatural things that go into our bodies that didn't years ago. I personally believe it has alot to do with it being a relaively new diagnosis, where previously those afflicted were simply labeled as retarded, crazy, stupid or lazy. My brother's particular version(asperger's syndrome) wasn't diagnosed for a while, after a lot of research from my father. My parents were just told he had a learning disability. |
