It's not all bad, no, it's good to have this inner-child, or the inner-adolescence if you will.

You would think when people say teenager they think about kids with thirTEEN years old. Well, according to a study from our mates in Australia, adolescence can go up to age 28 (previous determined age for it was 21).
The case study in the article shows an “adolescent”, Sean Harvey, 25 years old. Sean has his own job and lives in his own apartment and he collects action figures. He took his action figures with him on a trip to the Cayman islands with his family[...] Read the rest here: study shows adolescence doesn't end until age 28 The question you need to ask now is, are we all in adolescence? lmao, he took his figures on a trip? Oh man, can't believe this dude isn't a virgin.

I usually have figures with me when i travel... But i'm not exactly smashing them together in the motel room yelling "Pew! Pew! Pew!"... I like to put a few out to kinda decorate... Make it feel a little more like home...
But i am also totally immature, i don't know if that means i am still in adolescence at age 35, or... I'm just immature... |

I know quite a few of these guys. I call them "man babies". Most of the ones I know are products of over indulgent parents who didn't believe in spanking, they used timeout. Now these 30 year old losers are on permanent timeout smoking pot all day and living in their parents basements.

Not sure about this but I think there is a flawed methodology in this study. First off I see no "definition" of adolesence which is required in these studies (of course I also haven't found the study itself anyway). Second if that is the case how come people my age (late 30's) still collect action figures? From what is quoted it seems that "action figures" is the qualifying peice of adolesence. Yet I know plenty of 13 year olds (friends of my children BTW) who have turned thier backs on action figure collecting. Conversly my oldest child knows no one who collects action figures while my middle child knows tons of "geeky guys" who come to the house just to see the toy room.
Of course it is possible the original report is misrepresenting the study (which happens quite often BTW). Then again in a recent lit reveiw I was doing for a project I found an austrailian study from 2004 that essentally said "If you are a child of a step family you are have a high probability of useing drugs, no way around it" Yet the study took NO other factors besides being in a step family for the drug use (ie nothing about Economics, education, Family history other than step family, or any of the 1,000 other factors that we all know can effect substance abuse). Am going to try to track it down though and see what it says (cause this just looks massivly flawed to me, mostly because its trying to be so difinitive, no matter what the resluts are the study is never difinitive unless you are able to survay EVERYONE in a population, and I was never interviewed and I am an action figure collector. ;-) |

The interesting bit is that he has his own job and his own apartment. Still, I can see where the study could be flawed.
