Firefox users...I have been using Firefox ever since it came to the scene and have loved it but ever since Firefox 3.0, I felt that Firefox has become worse than Internet Explorer. More web pages are failing to load or takes forever to load, pop-ups are worse than IE8, and it crashes a lot and I swear every update is making it worse and worse. Right now I just downloaded Firefox 3.6.3 and the colors on my screen are F'd up. I just loaded IE8 and everything works fine.
My question is...have any of you guys switched to Google Chrome yet? I haven't really heard anything about it. I know I am not real impressed with my Tmobile G1 w/ Droid OS. So I am skeptical about making the switch. But I seriously think until Mozilla gets their shit together I am considering ditching Firefox.

Really? I'm running the same Firefox you describe, and its been months since I had any popup. Colours are fine, and load time is almost instantaneous.
Not sure why there's a difference. As for Chrome, I like it too. Fast and reliable, but as I'm not having problems with Firefox, I've never bothered to switch over. |

I've never had problems with Firefox and I would never consider IE8 but I don't know anything about Chrome. I wonder if you have a lot of add-ons that are slowing you down? With all the downloads available on FF, I wonder if you deleted yours and started over if you would see an improvement...

I run both Firefox and Chrome and I like chrome it just does not have as many useful tools, but it works much faster.

Still using Firefox. Although I do notice it has difficulty loading some pages, for the most part, it still works well. And I love the add-on library for it.
Chrome I use as a backup if Firefox is acting weird. I still won't touch IE with a 10 ft. pole.

gone are the days of netscape communicator on my windows 98se machine...SIKE i keed i keed...
seriously for the casual internet surfer...chrome rocks, however if you have a need for niche add-ons and specialized scripts...chrome is not for you...actually the only one that would be is firefox...with 3.6.3 just released if you didn't upgrade you should do so...and if you did uninstall it along with all of your addons cleane your cache reboot and reinstall only firefox and java...then check out facebook loading. hope this helps |
