Im the same way but my wife would rather circle the lot until someone in a spot closer to the front leaves. She complains about not wanting to walk that far,as if the average parkinglot is the size of a football field.

Or that could be some old schmuck. I saw once during college an elderly woman drive over the curb at a train parking lot. At the time, the space was wide open but she ended having to get car towed after hitting badly over the curb.
