Rhode island suffered massive flooding recently int he last rainstorms...
whether or not Joecon is cancelled is somewhat irrelevant compared to seeing if our Rhode Island tankers are ok. if anyone is in contact with them.. or if you're onthe boards.. Pleas sound off so we know you're alright.

Thanks kingofpain26! I'm fine. The house where I live is on high ground so no flooding here. The area around my house in Wawick is another story though. I have quite a few freinds in Warwick, West Warwick, and Cranston that have quite a lot of water in their yards and basements. One of my friends had to be evacuated from his house by boat. It's sad here. I hope my fellow RI Tankers are ok as well. Thanks again for the concern.

Hey Brother,
Warwick caught the worst of it. Been downtown Providence yesterday, no way will that building be closed on Monday, much less JoeCon. I've been busy pumping out my friends and inlaws basements! Soooo much water!

Hey thanks for the concern. I have been lucky my home and friends have been fine. My work flooded though so I have been helping out there. School has been canceled for me too.
I like so many others have had my fellow Islanders in my thoughts that got hit hard and are literally under water Good luck. |

I'm typing from Davey Jones' locker.
No, seriously...Providence is mostly fine. Warwick, Cranston and some other areas have been hit hard. There are some issues near the airport, but the Con isn't until the end of the month. Things will be fine by then as far as traveling about. |

I'm good too. The rain hit Warwick really hard. The Sewage plant getting swamped was bad. The Highways getting hit with water was worse. I hear that a few key bridges have been damaged and are going to be brought down. The sad part is that the malls of Warwick both got flooded. One mall is said to be down for a week with 7 foot of water on the outside, 4 feet of water on the inside. That's going to take over a month to fix. Joe con is going to be fine and outside of very very stupid actions I think most of us are going to be fine unless we got some water damage. Also I was on Cess Pool system so I was fine. My Aunt not so much.

Yeah,.. everything is cool where I live as well. We were pretty much dried up the day after the rain. My parents and friends in Westerly, not so lucky. The main bridges into the state from CT. are all washed out and are gonna need replacing. Its gonna be an interesting summer down there if they don't get them fixed, seeing as tourist season is already a nightmare, ,.....with pretty much only one main way into the state from the south, it's gonna be rediculous for traffic.
