Well I'm sure many of you fellow Hisstank Members have gotten Neck Pain probably from sitting infront of your PC for long periods of time....
Seems like I may have a crink in the top of my neck or something...just effing' frickin hurts at the times when the pain just gets pretty intense.....I have a high pain tolerance normally my day is pretty routine: Get up, and on the computer most of the day. I've started to change my routine and have been lifting boxes every day moving stuff around. But damn this effing pain in the top of my neck right near the top of my spine. I've had some neck pain lately was tight on one side of my neck for a while,then last night felt like a tight rope type muscle that when pressure was applied to it and it ached course I think my Pillows now are partially causing it cause I have to switch out pillows every night. Just now the effing pain just starts up, and goes away...the comes back. I may have to see about heading to the doc next week if it keeps up. But any of you ever get any neck pain from being infront of the PC for so long?

I work in IT but can't say I've ever gotten any neck pains. I do make sure to get up and move around every hour though.

I normally dont, but early this week I really thought I was gonna go to the ER.
I did shoulder shrugs, which I always do at the gym and went pretty heavy..everything was fine then I woke up in the middle of the night with a kink...then I woke up in the morning and had to roll out of bed. Mon-Weds I couldnt turn my head left at all...thurs it started calming down and now its ok...but man, waking up, turning to get up and getting that "zinger pain"...laid my ass right back down! |

i get serious neck pain when i was about ten i rolled down a hill
backwards and it never healed completely |

You might also see a chiropractor briefly as well. 2) Get up from the computer as frequently as possible and move around. Do stretch exercise for the muscles in your upper chest, back, and shoulders. 3) Try to get into a regular exercise regimen. 4) Don't sleep on your stomach. Trust me, this will only get worse as time passes unless you address it - you don't want it to get the the point of debilitating, sick/migraine-type headaches, which it eventually will. |

I used to get a crick in my neck from sleeping wrong every once in a while. I got one of those special memory foam pillows with the special contoured shape. Haven't had any problems after that, and it's been quite a few years now.
