Okay guys, here's a question for you...
Would you rather be an Ice Road Trucker or an Arctic Crab Fisherman? The crab fishermen (like the ones in Deadliest Catch) is more dangerous and a lot more work in adverse conditions (cold, wet, dark) but with the payout as much as $40,000 per season you can afford not to work the rest of the year. The ice road truckers are driving in North Alaska (or North Canada) over Ocean Ice Roads in blinding blizzards driving fully loaded semis through heavy snow and wind. Payouts can be as much as $7500 per load (up to 500 miles per load). I won't go into all the risks because I'm sure a lot of you have the shows on Discovery and the History Channel. So what would it be?

i would go back to ice road trucking in a flash! i was on a oil rig moving crew and winter was the only time we could access the remote locations they wanted to drill. it's not nearly as dramatic as the tv show portrays, but it's still pretty cool!

I would prefer the ice road trucker because any job I can do while watching movies as I drive is a great job in my book.

If I have to be stuck in a frozen ice ball, I want to be a Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman

I think they had two types of roads on that show. The first one was actually driving over iced water/ocean. And the second one was just a road covered by ice and snow.
