So for the past almost 2 years I have worked for Brunswick as a Technical Manager in their XL centers. Monday I got a call asking me to come in on my day off for a meeting with my GM and when I told them I could not make it I was told not to come in the next day (I was scheduled) and to come in at 12 noon on Wednesday instead of the 4pm I was scheduled. Now with how paranoid the higher ups have been with Payroll lately, and how cheap they are in general I saw the writing on the wall.
So Tuesday the day I was told not to come in I went on an interview. I walked into a Family Fun Center that had been without any sort of full time technician for two months. While I have seen places in worse shape there were definitely fires there. Long story short things went great, did the paperwork for the Background check and all that and went home. Wednesday I go into the meeting and what I feared is true. I was told I was being laid off and that my position was being eliminated. I went home and hung out with the kids these last few days. Got the call today. I got the Job, I start Monday, and I'm making more money. All is well.

Thanks, I think it helps when your resume says Jillian's, Namco, Sega and Brunswick. They fell all over themselves to get me.

I learned how to play the greatest video game ever - Street Fighter II I won a stand-up Street Fighter II game in a tournament in college. I was wondering if the hyper-fighting upgrade is still available, or if you know about this game's set up? Thanks. P.S. I'm glad everything worked out for you & your family. |

That is great news Shin. Congrats. Be VERY thankful it went that easy too. (I was laid off in September of last year and just got a new job, that I started a week and a half ago.) Well I hope your new job is a great, prosperous one, for you too!

good to hear. i've had my ups and downs with jobs - lowe's fired me for a safety violation back before thanksgiving. i'd worked there for almost 2 years, had a flawless safety record, and my supervisors had nothing to say but great things about me. i worked the night shift and was going to school in the mornings. i did this for a year and a half. well, the regional managers were all up in arms over lagging sales, especially when they just opened up another new store, and a lot of the other stores' night crews were causing problems. so they were looking for excuses to lighten their load. i went first. now there's no night crews. i still don't have a job, but fortunately i have my gi bill money, which i can manage to live off. almost finished with school, and i already have my internship ready for june - which pays more than i made at lowe's anyway, so....
corporate america sickens me. i regret getting out of the military at times. the pay was never great, but the job security was always there, the benefits were decent, and i liked what i did most of the time. but civilian jobs suck because you're out on your own - there's nobody in your corner. unless your well connected. |

Thanks guys. Yeah I was fortunate, I'm very glad it worked out the way it did.
Da_Last_2_Walk Street Fighter II' Turbo (Hyper Fighting) (Not to be confused with Super Street Fighter II Turbo) uses the CPS I arcade board, Capcom's Workhourse until the CPS II. Street Fighter II pushed the CPS I to it's limits and as a result had a Daughter Board added to it for Champion Edition for the added features. Turbo: Hyper Fighting and the numerous Black Market Hacks are rom swaps on the CPS I that are very easy to do provided you have a Champion Edition Board. As far as finding the upgrade itself I doubt it, but the whole board for a SFII'T can be bought for under $50
