Hey guys and gals, well here is my problem. I currently collect Joes and some starwars. Since I'm caught up on current joes and nothing is coming out till fall I started up on ARAH again . As far as Starwars , really just what the kids and I play with. I really like the Marvel 3 3/4 figs that have been out for awhile. I'm not sure if I want to make a leap into another toy line or not. Would it be harder now to find some of the older marvels ,I guess in general is the marvel line worth starting up?Lmk know your opinon, Thanks for letting me ramble ,mark:-)

Marvel Universe figures are nice but they are cheaply made. Well, it's my opinion. I only buy the ones I like a lot. Go with the vintage Joe figures. Those are the real deal IMO.

Do what I do:
Switch lines from month to month: Collect Star Wars One month Collect Gi Joe One Month Collect Marvel One Month Course I collect a crap ton more [and that's mostly Comics,Star Trek,so on so fourth,I rotate it every month and it works out] May work better for ya financially too to make your lists of what you wanna get from those lines and mark it off as you acquire them.

You could start collecting Marvel and not get the older ones.
They'll make multiple versions of the core characters as the line progresses. |

I think the Marvel 3 3/4 line is new enough that you can probably find most of the back releases with ease.

If you are going to collect Marvel Figures go with Marvel Legends.
And if you are really stuck on the 3 3/4 figs, then go with the Marvel Legend Showdown figures. They are way nicer looking then the Marvel Universe ones, imo.

Buy the characters you really like, forget the rest, honestly. But, we all know that's easier said than done. So just let sleeping dogs lie.

Ya one month Ill concentrate on Joe....one month MOTU......one month DCU.....Ect.
I second the Marvel Legends nod. That is prolly my fav toy-line ever(aside from Super Powers whixh is nostalgic to me). But if you are interested in the Marvel Univers.....Its still early enough to get in. My Walmart is PACKED TO the gills with them. You have Secret Wars going and they will always re-release the core characters. |
