So i sell my used dvds on amazon sometimes to get rid of them. Its never alot and they usualy sell for a buck or two but its better then them sitting on a shelf and never getting watched. In any case I sold aprils fools day and it shipped november 24th. He got it by the end of november im sure. He paid 4.73 with shipping for it (meaning i cleared about a buck and a half in profit after amazons fees).
I get this email TODAY.... Hello from Amazon.com. The buyer of the following order has sent you a message. Please respond to the individual directly by replying to this e-mail. Btw i watched this movie and i know it worked when i shipped it. it wasnt that good which is why i sold them (and why i usualy sell them, if i like the movie ill keep it). I havnt responded yet. what do you think?

Sounds fishy. Like he buys em, watches em, and then asks for a refund. I would kindly suggest he try it in another dvd player.

Pay him back his 4.73 and he is out of your life forever. I wish I could pay people $5 to have them leave me alone sometimes

probably copied it. if it was a more recent purchase i might give the benefit of the doubt, but three months later? few brick and mortar stores would allow that, especially on a used dvd. did your original listing states as is or anything about a return policy?

dr. whom comes with the logic again. it is only $5. might be better to pay him, and still get good feedback or something. or at least avoid bad.

I agree with Dr. Whom. Refund the money.
Here is how I would handle it. Tell him you will refund the price of the DVD ONLY! Make him pay return shipping costs when he ships the package back. That should put an end to that. If the buyer wants to lose a few bucks for original shipping plus pay another buck or two to get it back to you, so be it. I have dealt with so many scams on eBay I am jaded. It's always the people that spend around that $5 - $10.00 range that give you the most grief. The buyers that spend $100.00 are easier to deal with, the people that spend 5 bucks on something, you will go back and forth with a dozen emails and a week worth of your time stressing over it. |

Kindly tell him that if he returns it, you will refund his payment.
DONT tell him that you will not refund his shipping. When you get it...refund the item $ amount and be done with him. then relist your item.

The dvd doesn't work.

Amazon will FORCE you to repay him. They dicked me over on an Optimus Prime I sold from the first TF Movie. The only thing that saved me is I changed my CC Number so they cant bill me but they keep trying to force me to pay every month.
I had to close my Amazon account and I can't sell on there anymore just because someone got exactly what was stated in the sale but she says its too hard to transform. She demanded she keep the toy and get a refund.
