Hey Everyone, Canadian here from Ontario sort of new here, I had an account around the Pursuit of Cobra/Resolute/30th era but completely forgot my info. My initial Joe Years were 89-94 so I'll be one of the banner carriers for that era.
I was out of the Joe community selling off practically all my collection 2000-2014. I was averse to 6" in all its forms though thought Classified looked okay, then broke down once the Buzzer and Ripper came out. My collection, per agreement with my wife, will only be Dreadnoks and Ninja force related. Limits my purchases but will love seeing all line offers Last edited by Frozencanuck; 01-03-2025 at 07:14 PM.. |

Only been on the Tank for a few days, initially my search skills failed me because I couldn't find any 'introduce yourself' thread but I'm here now.
Guess I'm another international Tanker as I'm from Melbourne, Australia. As a kid of the 70's I grew up with an Australian licensed 12" Joe Action Soldier, 12" Action Man UK (French Foreign Legionnaire) and a whole swag of 7" Mego's - Cap, Spidey, PotA Cornelius, Astronaut and Ape Soldier. Later in the 1970's added a very modest amount of Star Wars figures. Always liked Marvel or DC western comics and religiously bought Battle Action weekly also 2000AD weekly(featuring Judge Dredd) comics from the UK. As a teen of the 80's I can remember being thrilled with the new ARAH figures and their articulation compared to the 3 3/4" Star Wars 5 POA. I had Beach Head and Scarlett vs Firefly and Scrap Iron in my small collection but almost a dozen Lanard/The Corps! as they were about $1 each (pocket money/allowance friendly!). The Sunbow cartoons were playing on TV with heavy rotation and I started Marvel/Hama Joe with the first few issues. Being an Aussie teen had the benefit of both comic world's as Battle Action comic morphed into Battle/Action Force with Baron Ironblood and Cobra, later truly morphing into GI Joe but known as Action Force. Late 80's I was verging on adulthood and grew out of Joe but lived through my younger brother, I can remember being intrigued by the Python Patrol figures he was collecting. Always been a comic book and action figure collector but not usually Joe related, mostly 1/6 military, comic book anti-heroes and Sci-Fi. Then early last year saw "the figure series that can't be mentioned on the Tank" on a BBTS newsletter. Being 'social media illiterate' I knew nothing about the 'toxicity' and purchased 2 different female figures (they're okay, prefer Classified). Next BBTS newsletter was my first time noticing the GI Joe Classified series with a retro card Scarlett listed. Purchased a Firefly (Classic) and a retro Scarlett locally and that was it, hooked on Classified. So ATM I'm collecting Classified, half way through my first Classified custom figure and rewatching the Sunbow Joe cartoons in chronological order. When Season 1 and 2 of Sunbow Joe is out of the way, I'll start on my digital compendiums of Marvel/Hama Joe to totally refresh my knowledge on Joe lore. :-) Anyway greetings and salutations by SunbowScrapIron from Down Under!! |

HI folks. My name is Arturo and I've been a long time GI joe and action figure collector.
I've worked in the toy industry for the last ten years and have been doing graphic design and art directing for the last 25 years. I am working on a tabletop game and o-ring action figure line, yes, another o-ring line. We have 6 characters so far in the line with the last two being sculpted on as we speak. Fingers crossed we can skip the whole Kickstarter thing and move right into getting this line in the hands of fans. I have a thread showing off somethings if you're like to see more you can visit on IG @riseofnexus |
