Well I've recently begun purging my Gi Joe Collection to make room for Anime Stuff.....
I am quite....well pleased I've had good sales lately but I think I'm not prepared for the sheer amount I've had to ship out...I shipped out 7 packages last week, 10 packages on monday and now got 10 more that will be shipped out next week... And with more stuff I've listed on ebay every day I've been selling at least 2-3 items per day.... This is burning me out pretty quick.....but I just got to keep at it even if I'm getting bitched at by my folks that I'm shipping out too much stuff... One of my friends said to me I need to open my own store with all the stuff I got....that seems to be too much trouble and I'm only doing this now to downsize and just get rid of stuff.... Anyone else ever been overwhelmed with orders to get shipped out? I'm just really not equipped for this volume of business I'm getting but it's good business so I can't complain since sales last year were so crappy....My year has started off great so that's a good thing I hope it continues... |

last summer was really interesting for shipping. I was shipping approximately 30 to 50 packages a week and had to take my 3 youngest kids with me to the post office each time.

your not alone. I did one large sale one time on ebay. Oh man it was brutal. I had to ship out 63 packages. I did 30 in the morning and 33 after lunch. IT SUCKED!!!

I do about 30-40 packages once a month on purges. What really screws it up is if I have Sunday auctions end and then Thursday to ship and then some people pay more than four days late and I have to go back all over again. At least it's not as bad as the old days when you had to do all the postage at the post office. Online postal printing is a life saver.

when I first started my business 11 years ago, I was using Ebay to help make cash fast. I was shipping out almost 500 items per month, but I couldn't complain, because back then Ebay was worth it and I was making tons of cash.
