What experiences define you as a person. What do you feel makes you who you truly are. For example I was a latchkey kid. My mom worked two jobs and I hardly saw her. This forced me to be self reliant. My father was out of the picture before I was born. He was an abusive drunk that nearly caused my mom to miscarry me. Because of this I've always seen my Life as a symbol of rebellion against Death. I've always tried to never be anything like him. I don't smoke, I rarely drink and never in great excess. I stay away from drugs and don't live the way he did. He could've been a wonderful artist. He had the talent but never put it to use. I inherited this skill from him at an early age. This is why it is so important to me that I do something with my talents and never let it go to waste. He also hated the military where as I served proudly. I've learned to put others ahead of myself and try never to be selfish. My mom always kept me on the move. I've lived in seventeen cities since birth so I have so sense of home but I do have a good sense of the world. I'm open minded and love to travel and have as adventure or two. I remain fearless and hope I one day will be an excellent Father.

Being an Only Child & a Pisces, I seem to be pretty much a Loner. Funny thing is even as a kid I liked playing AROUND other kids but not WITH them.
I'm the same today, I find that I'm much more productive if I take my laptop to the coffee shop or the bookstore, and work with the background noise of others around me, but I don't do well at all in the corporate environment where I'm forced to work on a team. My parents were not rich but because I was an only child I was afforded a lot more in the way of toys than most kids were. As an adult however, I'm very self reliant but thus far have not had as much as I did as a kid.. stuff wise. I got married at 24 and divorced at 26, though I was with my ex for about five years. I did a lot of stupid crap during those times but I took the experiences for what they were and learned from them. I no longer smoke, never drink in excess and try to live a healthy life as much as possible. Just need to get the excess weight off. My grandfather on my moms side influenced me a lot and honestly I have to say, Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers & He Man played a huge role in my development as an individual. I'm always looking for the right way to do things, and the moral of any situation or what I can learn from it. There is always an easy way and a RIGHT Way and thanks to the cartoons I loved as a kid Im the guy that does the RIGHT thing whenever I can. I have very few friends but the ones I have are friends for life. Like I said, a loner. I hope someday soon to start a family of my own however. I just need a financial break to make it happen. And though we can't talk about it much on the tank, I'm a very spiritual person... but I'm not religious. But my Spiritual experiences have defined me more than anything. I'm always looking into the unexplained or the surreal things that happen to me and others. I have a huge interest in Quantum Physics and I think that also dictates a lot about what I believe about the universe. Over all I'm just very glad I grew up in the 1980's. I don't think I would be who I am if I didn't.

well, i geuss growing up, my ma didn't have money, and around middle school and hs, your appearance was a different thing now. there were styles, and crowds. you all know this, we all had it. anyway, she couldn't afford the things i wanted, so i made it a thing to make sure every summer i had loot saved for fresh threads by the end of the summer.
i would sell turtles and snakes to kids, some kids , like the rich kids, i would sell em turtles lol , at night steal em back, bam next day, hey my turtle got away, you got another? yup, right over here baby, $$$cha$ching$$$. i know, all these eastern painted turtles look the same.. during the scool year , i would go to mcrorys or whatever it was, and get a pack of 5 packs of bubbleicious for a dollar, and sell each pack for a dollar at school, word up.. 1 dollar lead to 4 profit, now times that by 20 dollars, 4 profit for each dollar in that 20 spent.. great money man.. and then later on i started babysitting my nephews, and i got alot, so i made some good money for being a kid. so all that growing up without money showed me the value of it when it came. and as an adult, i started painting, and realized damn i'm good with my hands, and felt as well, that if i hire someone to do anything for me, i want them to do their best. (mechanics, electrition, whatever) so i always had that in my head, and felt the world should be like that. so from then on, everything i ever painted, i did as if i was paying me to do the job for me, if you can understand that. i made sure that the person that had me working got the best, and there fore is how i became the best painter you ever met hisstank.com, so if ya local hit me up lol.. no seriously, hit me up.. and at this time, i was young, and i worked for this builder, and he turned out the most nicest houses money can buy. believe me i seen so many houses from ground up in the past 10 years, and i will say alot of new houses that are built are crap. period... not this dude, this dude was great, and a perfectionist, and i liked it, and said this is how it should be, and that help form my conscience as a person and a painter. i knew from a early age , don't ask my ma for money, when i was like 3 or 4 i asked if she could get me this little chilly willy looking stuffed animal from shop right. she said i had to pay her back. i told her i had money in my bank, mind you i cant count, and i remember alot of pennies haha. that's all everyone probably gave me. so i have no clue if she got the right amount, but she took it, and i'm sure it was only 3 bucks for the damn toy , it was like 81 man, probably a 1.50 even lol... so there you have it, that is what made me a money valueing, never asked his ma for shit, perfectionist. i'm sure there's more, well i know there's more, but i'm done.. |

I guess the event that defined me the most was the time I was camping in the hills of WV and got abducted by aliens. To this day I have a great fear of bright lights and protologists.

Punk rock and graduate school. They're both not as fun as they used to be.
