Damn, that's sick. Though, maybe he should be practicing his marksmanship more so he wouldn't need to be worried about reloading so often. ;D

Oh, btw, going to get myself a shotgun today. Gonna head out in a few hours, see what's out there at the local shops. Should be fun.

nice Remington 870 12 gauge is all you'll ever need. Herb Phillipson's is reasonable (I think New Hartford has a better selection than Herkimer) and Gander Mountain is ok too. Good luck with your shopping. If you have any questions pm me.

Thanks. I haven't used a shotgun since I was in the Army, but I'm figuring I'll go with either an 870, or Mossberg 590. Most of the 870's aren't set up to allow for tube extensions, so I'm not the biggest fan of that. I've fired both in my time. I like them both well enough, though I know the 870 has undergone alot of refinements in recent years. In the end I know I can trust both those brands to deliver quality, and dependability. It'll really depend on what's available. I'll likely just have the guy in Herkimer look up what is in stock at the other sites, as I like to keep the business within the county when I can.

No, just TONS of time doing it. I can pump my shotguns so fast that it sounds like one continuous shot. And when I was a kid and only shot a 30-30 bolt action, it sounded like a semi-auto I could work the bolt so fast. Just takes practice.
870 is a good all around gun. Depends on what youre doing with it though. The Mossberg 935's are good, and so are the 500's. I hav a couple of each and I also have shotguns that cost 4 times as much that arent half the gun. Just depends on what youre doing with it. |

Growing up I hunted dear with a Marlin 30/30 - I can remember being 15 years old and cranking that bastard as fast as I could at a deer running across the feild. The neighbors thought I was hunting with a semi-auto. Thanks for reminding me of a great memory BigVig. |

I admit to getting my stock Beretta 92FS out last night and trying to reload as fast as I could. I guess with a lot of practice you could get that fast. |
