So "zombie plague" is a little forward leaning but it appeals to the masses and most people can relate as a result of Hollywood. How about any widely communicable disease that is killing humans abundantly therefore leading to a break down in civil order and rule of law? And yes, I have opinions on Ruby Ridge, Waco, the Oklahoma City bombing, most instances of domestic terrorism, and a cumulative 7 years on the ground in Afghanistan, Iraq, and The Balkans. Those opinions are better expressed elsewhere I suspect. What I do not have however is a Masters degree in grammar so please forgive me...carry on.

If you're a soldier in a war and you ask your buddy for a clip, and he gives you a magazine, then you have the right to be pissed-off and pissy about it, he should know better because he's been through training, he's putting your lives at risk by not knowing the terms. But if you're a couple of ignorant city-boys with 10 zombies coming to eat you, does it really matter what they call the ammo? You gonna give em crap when they save your life with their last CLIP? lol
It's better to be specific in those situations then wrong. Also, one does not call a table spoon a knife or sword. It's two different things, be specific or you will be eating your soup with a fork. |

I live two blocks from my office. It's a secure building with a gated garage. The only way in is with a keycard. If they get though that, or the first floor entrance there is no accessible stairwell up except behind the strongest door I've even on the first floor. Using desks and furniture from the second floor I'd completely block access from that stairway to any higher point. Each floor is protected by the same keycard access in the stairwell and the elevators will not take you anywhere unless you have a card. Each floor is stocked with food and water. Hopefully enough to hold out.
I go over the plan in my head 2-3 times a day. |

I have purposely gained 60 pounds over the last 3 years. This substantial energy reserve will allow me to sit out the initial hordes onslaught. After which, i will emerge and lay claim to "Cheiftoria", which will encompass most of Tennessee (the zombies can have Memphis).
Since i am too cheap to buy my own weapons, i will rely on my buddy's stash of SKS assault rifles to defend Chieftoria. My minivan with dual sliding doors will give me the perfect platform for my conquests, allowing maximum fields of fire both port and starboard. I have a highly trained Beagle, who will warn me of approaching undead, and then sniff thier rear end to determine who gets a head shot, and who gets hit with a shovel. My 4 cats will be my scouts, alerting me to possible survivors, and any stashes of catnip, which will be the currency of this post-apocolyptic world. After Chieftoria falls to the usual post-survival infighting, we will set sail to India, recover the Skystriker molds, and finally produce that epic toy again, uniting humanities remnant with the one item that can truly bring world peace. I plan to head straight for a mall and participate in some organized chaos, George Romero stylee.

Dont get out much do we? :-p I dont have a plan. Those with plans die while trying to figure out the next part of the plan. I would take it as it comes but I do know 100% that everything would involve protecting my family and defending one self.
