Both the 4 day passes already out, with or without preview night. Saw that it was close last night so I bought my tickets, and checked this morning and they were gone.
Wow, that was fast. I wonder how many of those tickets went to scalpers considering they were selling for up to $400 last year. Single day tickets still available.

Hell at those prices I may never get to see SDCC. I would be better off getting tickets and watching the Daytona 500 in February!!

I'm pre registering for Wondercon, which is the NorCal version. But thats not until April 2-4 Moscone Center, SF.
Last year, it was packed for all 3 days. In this economy, comic cons are cheap entertainment. |

That's amazing. I'm going to try to get single day passes, but I'm broke and by the time I get money those will probably be sold out as well.

I can't believe how big the con has gotten. It used to be just big... but now, if you didn't know any better you'd think it was the only convention of its type held all year. I'd love to check it out at least once, but airfare from here is already expensive not taking in lodging, eating and other expenses. Anyways bring back some cool pics when you go.
Yeah I've been to the 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2009 con's, and this year was by far the most hectic and crowded. It was just crazy. On Thursday there was like a 4,000 plus line outside of the convention center to get inside one of the halls for the Twilight panel. My girlfriend waited in this line for like 5 hours, haha. There was just mad crazy lines for literally everything from Starbucks to using the restroom, to getting a hold of exclusives. One thing I found hilarious was the line for the Green Lantern exclusives. Man those guys were barbaric savages, pushing, shoving, trampling, it was quite the scene. I only wish I had my camcorder with me at the time.

i've been thinking lately that i should just go to the "smaller" and less crowded conventions. even Wondercon `09 was still crowded for me.

I think these conventions are being blown out of proportion. Someone please change my mind. Is there some value added to a supercrowded event to pay marked up prices. Are the die hard collectors showering yet?
