I'm absolutely scared of a Root Canal. I'm concerned of the impending pain. Fellow Tankers, I'm seeking any advice, professional and folk-like home remedies, on how I can decrease the coming pain.
I read somewhere good sleep helps a person's body feel less pain. I love these wonderful little remedies. All the litle advice adds up. Do you guys and girls know of more tips? Any dentists out there? Any folk medicine types? Again, I want to use all means necessary to decrease the coming pain of a Root Canal. All the little pieces of advice, such as the good sleeping tip above, is very much welcomed. If you can show a link on such ways to decease pain, it would be so very much appreciated. |

I've had 2. Honestly, they are really no worse than having a cavity filled. I think it is the pain that can lead up to the root canal that is normally referenced.
As noted earlier, you'll probably be advised to take over the counter medication. Or get a prescription version of them. Nothing too bad. Don't let yourself get worked up. The anxiety will make you hypersensitive. Relax and let your dental professional do their job. |

I've never had a re4gular dentist perform a root canal. The root canals I've had done were performed by an endodontist (sp?). They specialize in these techniques since they are dental surgeons.
I never had any pain with them working on me. If you or your insurance can afford it, it's a good option. |

Relax and let your dental professional do their job. only advice i can give , is when they are done and if you have a crown put on. when the mold the crown and finally fit it to your tooth , they will shave it down to match your bite .. make sure you are 100% satisfied that your bite is not off.. or else your root canal will turn into an infection down the road like mine currently has.
