I got to thinking the other day that there are definitely some very popular pop culture characters in comics, movies, pop culture whatever that I really have ZERO INTEREST in right about now and I know I can't be alone in this.
The first one that comes to mind for me would have to be Wolverine. As a kid I always just thought he was kinda cool, but maybe I was just damaged by all those friggin' awful '90s Marvel crossovers or what-have-you later on, or he's just flat out, played out, but I'm really sick to death of him these days. And his son, Daken? Ughhh...no thanks. What are some of yours, peoples? Be not afraid to step on some toes. Keep in mind, these are popular characters we are talking about here. I expect some fan boy, nerd raging to occur. This is strictly to see if there are any characters that others are really sick of. Try not to be an apologist for a character you see someone slag off on, this thread is for scientific/sociological purposes only!

Lol. Johnny Johnny. Nut bustin splittin Johnny... He had the moves but not that x-factor... MK had potential if only Liu kang and Johnny Cage weren't there.

Snake Eyes. He, much like Wolverine, is over-exposed and trotted out constantly to be the standard bearer of the Joe property.
Like certain spices, they're great and add richness when used appropriately and sparingly. Except Hasbro and Marvel have no concept of "Too much of a good thing". |

I'll just stick to the Joe world:
It bothered me that the comics and cartoons always revolved around the same core characters. Snake Eyes, Duke, Scarlet, Hawk, Lady Jaye and Flint. The Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow story bored me. I hate ninjas. Get them out of my GI Joe world. The cartoon voices of Cobra Commander, Shipwreck, Gung Ho, Roadblock, Destro, Wild Bill and Major Bludd killed my perception of the who the character was. In turn the "figures" were hardly played with after that. Firefly was the coolest Cobra. He was the Boba Fett of the Joe world.

Superman, never saw the appeal. Thought he was lame and over exposed as a kid and continue to think that.
