I just made a Facebook profile just to keep in touch w/ my Jr High/High School classmates recently and how much alot of them changed in 10-15 yrs. Alot of them are married w/ kids, newlyweds, single parents, stay at home moms, became overachievers or work in a big corp.
Anybody wish they tried much harder in high school/college to strive higher in life. Last edited by Zanzibar; 09-20-2009 at 04:30 AM.. |

a lot of ppl I know got stuck in the town we grew up in..
gained a ton of weight and had kids before they were 20 and now almost 10years later they are all the same Some of us got out I was one of the lucky ones. Went to college and got a job in my field. but some of my friends are just making headway now in life.. kinda sucks. Had I tried harder to get better grades and over achieve I may be in a better paying job but Id hate the career path I would be in.. almost became and electronic engineer... I hated that soooo much!

one chick that i went to school with, very gorgeous girl, just got murdered a few weeks ago from her ex. the dude was stealing her money to do whatever with , an she was like hell no. plus he owed child support, possibly that's what he took the money for , not to sure on that. an she worked for difice(spelling). but anyway he killed her an then himself. it's a damn shame cause she was beautiful an a very sweet chick. that guy was a bum, an it's sad this had happened.. an plus now a child has no father as a ending result of this horrible situation, an a family has lost a daughter/sister/niece/aunt out of this..

I am trying to "break out"... I am 3 quarters away from graduating college and now I'm dealing with my mom who doesn't want me to move out of the area when I graduate so she's making it very difficult for me to get my degree. I don't understand how someone, family or not can help you out for so long and then when you're about to hit a milestone not only stop helping you but go out of their way to make life harder... it's called crab mentality supposedly.

The grass is always greener. I bet a bunch of the folks you're reconnecting with are saying "Man, Zanzibar's got it great. He gets to do whatever he wants whenever he wants to. I wish I would have done x, y, and z differently". It's all relative.
Plus, it's never to late to adjust your situation, especially if you're not tied down by other obligations. Every day is another chance to turn it around. |

If I can find that one person from my class yr I graduated, the year before, the year or 2 after me that works for Hasbro I could pretty much tell him/her what I think of the GI Joe/Transformers line currently, give some input/suggestion. One of my classmate/close friend from Jr High now works Bandai in Japan, he told me to give him ideas/suggestions since he works in the toy division.
