Hell no. I have a ridiculous sensitivity to heat, combined with hyperhidrosis. Spicy food is a no-no. I can tolerate very mild spices, like black pepper and paprika, but cayenne? Chili powder? Or anything stronger? Absolutely not.

Does anyone else feel weird eating chicken with eggs? Pork, beef etc., seems normal however I feel kind of weird pairing parent with child prior to devouring
I enjoy spicy but have nowhere the collection of sauces you have going. Impressive. I learned hard way with some of the gimmick sauces/flavours. Ass kicking peanuts as a Xmas gift one year. Not good. Lives up to name. I worked with produce quite a bit and when we were asked how hot or what habaneros taste like: we always offered one up to sample lol. Priceless. Wash hands thoroughly before washroom breaks. |

I'll make foods hot when they aren't expected to be hot. I like to put red pepper flakes into chocolate cake, pepper cheese on a peanut butter sandwich, hot honey in tea or cocoa, spicy fettucine, things like that, but I draw the line at puddles of sweat collecting in my ears.
It's all about which one you'll eat first when they share a plate. Not a shredded meat fan, but recently I've been enjoying smoked gouda. Sour cream mixed with yogurt for parfaits is also a recent trick to add thickness and a bit of tartness. Last edited by TheOverlordCorp; 01-09-2024 at 02:08 PM.. |

Also, I'm quite particular about shredded meat, and chicken in general- I actually never really care for it unless I've made it myself. Also, I love sour cream as a versatile ingredient, but generally hate it as a condiment, but in the case of the aforementioned omelette, the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. There are many, many foods that fall into that category for me. Conversely, there are many foods I'll only enjoy if they're (almost) on their own- lemons, tomatoes, and avocados, to name a few.

I would like to be better in the world of omelettes and fromage. I am ignorant at best.
I like your thought process heat and sweet. I would take mustard on fries over ketchup (rarely, if ever, eat ketchup). Grilled cheese is where I would miss it. Greek yogurt works well in a lot of recipes. I do not have/use mayo. Coconut Greek yoghurt is my tuna salad mix with red flake chilli pepper; lemon; salt and pepper Salt on fruit goes hard. Pineapple; strawberries; oranges; grapefruit. Brings out more flavours |

Heat: I like it, but I don't need it every time I eat. Most of the heat I enjoy is cooked that way, not added later. I like to make Thai and Indian curry dishes, and those can get pretty hot if I'm being generous with the curry paste. I also have a bottle of Cholula around for general purpose, and then tabasco and tabasco scorpion on hand for pizza and eggs.
Never learned to make a good omelette. Tips welcome. |
