Back then in the early 1980s both Sears and JC Penney christmas catalogs were full of stuff from clothing to tyepwriters, fridges, alot of different versions of the viewmasters and alot of Sesame Street merchandise and Fisher Price stuff along with the usual Transformers, Gi> Joe, Gobots, Sectaurs, Star Wars and Masters of the Universe etc.
I also still remember one of the catalogs had something call Home and Garden toy figures of a family which consisted of a dad, mom, a brother and sister. That family pack was more from the late 197os but it was still popular to order from one of the early 1980s catalogs. |

Dude, I remember the ventriloquist dummies page with the dark backgrounds and eerie lights like they were on a stage. Always gave me nightmares.

It still amazes me that back then from 1980 to 1985 that Sears and JC Penney's still had old 1970s toys and clothing to sell even old record albums and tvs at the same time when they were selling brand new stuff in the catalogs.
alot of interesting stuff they had in the catalogs besides Star Wars and GI Joe and Gobots. they also had those remote control robot "servants' for kids to play with along with the cheap plastic vinal toy themed camping tents like Barbie and old stuff from the late 70s. Even some of those action figure playsets weren that expensive back then in the catalogs in the early 1980s. mostly up to 15 or 16 bucks for Masters of the Universe playset or whatever. TOday, a new playset is like a hundred bucks or more |

even in an old 1982 Sears or JC Penney's christmas catalog they still had mid late 1970s men's sweaters that looked tacky to show off
