yeah i think people bent out of shape over windowless packaging are hilarious.
if you arent an opener, buy it direct from hasbro or from a retailer. if you are, check the contents before you buy. not that hard. |

Why is a corporation giving a shit about environmental problems "virtue-signaling?" That's a shitty attitude and a bullshit way of seeing it. We need corporations to care about this stuff because it's the only way any of it is going to be solved in this corporate lap-dog society. Lord knows the average lazy, entitled American ain't gonna do shit about it since we're all too busy fucking around with inconsequential horseshit. Americans oughta be applauding such behavior from companies, but we're all so brainwashed with lame generic platitudes and nonsense we can't see or think beyond. "Oh, my toys are being affected by this! *whine, snivel, outrage*"
It's actually odd to think that somehow with packing materials, collecting loose figures is far more environmentally friendly because nothing is being made, the only waste you're creating is the packing materials which is usually much easier to separate and or recycle than the packaging modern figures with fancy boxes come in. Often times you can even reuse boxes or packing material sent by the seller. O-Ring packaging used to be almost entirely environmentally friendly. Very small bubble with no inner covering a figure, you would cut out the file card and flag point, so not even all the cardboard would be wasted. SO much garbage is generated just protecting the packaging from being damaged now, it's ridiculous. 1/4 the weight of the Haslab Skystriker box was cardboard and sleeving. I just really hate waste. I thought the route Hasbro was going with the PFP is commendable, and the rattans were a lot less frustrating than those damn plastic bands. |
