With apologies to Henry Cavill, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Hemsworth, and Yvonne Strahovski, who did not make the poll yet still qualify.

I'm gonna say Magnum because I love Hawaii and still go back to watching that show when I have 45 minutes to kill.

I went with all of them. Emphasis on GI Joe, Return of the Jedi, Magnum and A-Team, though.
I love all four of those and can watch them anytime. V was alright, and Vacation has its moments. Last edited by SnowCat; 02-19-2023 at 11:15 PM.. |

V is Very dated but still interesting. I've not watched ROTJ more than 2-3 times but the TV shows I still replay. |

I saw a retrospective on '80s TV that very lightly reflected on post-Vietnam era televison, and suggested GI Joe's rating were hurt because veterans/dads didn't want their kids watching while Magnum's ratings were helped because the characters showed veterans that these four men who went to war came back, found new roles in life, and relied on each other for their coping and recovery. Not sure if either "fact" is true, but found the remarks interesting. I think it was included on either The A-Team DVDs or the Magnum PI DVDs but it could've been on the Joe discs.

Guess I'll go with ROTJ. It's pre-Disney anyways.
"V" I like, but "V The Series" did an amazing job in burying the burgeoning franchise pretty quickly. To say the very least. |

the a-team fights a lot of backwoods militias and yokels. if they were doing that today they would still be heroes. though they may be protecting power grids and water plants and that's not as glamorous as veteran owned bed and breakfasts.
i almost added return of the jedi, but since the special edition in 1997, which understandably improved star wars, his subsequent "improvements" have been a load of mcclunkey. im never going to get over not having sebastian shaw at the end of rotj. |
