Agreed with all of the above. In most instances, I'll support local shops when I can, but not when it comes to collectibles. They screw you whether you're selling OR buying.

Depending where you live. eBay as a rule of thumb will always get more money, but also for eBay themselves. Currently with conversion they are taking 20 % off anything I sell. And if the buyer is outside your state/country/union can pay up to 25 % tax. I sold a King Grayskull, and the buyer paid 125 $, but I only got 80 $, as 25 was tax, and 20 was kept by eBay. This without incuding I had to pay 10 postage. But this item I couldnt sell locally, even if I tried. But if I sold it by 70 by Facebook, I would still make more as I wouldnt even have to pack it, just meet with the buyer.

Craigslist is the best choice, no fees,
meet the buyers in a neutral location, preferably an empty parking garage with poor lighting. Be sure to bring Mike Ehrmantraut for security. |
