Yeah it looks pretty bad. Given how good the Endor Han from the Black Series turned out, and the general improvement of likenesses over the last few years, I was expecting better. Like others, I?m reserving final judgment until I see the figure in-hand. But I?m going to be very hesitant to go all-in on the line if Indy looks as bad as that prototype.

Yeah, not sure why the Indy figure's likeness is off. Hasbro has always had issues capturing Ford's likeness perfectly, though the more recent photo-real VC figures really do look like Ford for the most part. I think some of it has to do with his face not being as symmetrical as most people's and sort of crooked, which I think can make face scanning and sculpting it more difficult when transferred to plastic. At least I have heard that makes it more complicated. I could be totally wrong though and maybe the sculptor they got for this new Indy figure just did a lackluster job?

Heck, IIRC, when I rode the Indiana Jones ride a few years back, they had largely phased out the actors as well (which makes the off-model and off-voice much more an issue)

The Indy that was in the Raiders scene in the now defunct 'Great Movie Ride' attraction at DW's Studios theme park actually did use Ford's likeness. But you are correct, the audio-animatronics in the Temple rides at DL and TDL do not.

Apparently before the Temple of the Forbidden Eye attraction opened at DL Disney had planned to get Ford to do the voice work and use his likeness for the audio-animatronics, but he was too expensive so they had to settle with a generic looking Indy figures and voice.
