People tend to not read. Either they ask questions and the answers are already in the description, or they buy, you ship, they receive and then they get mad because one accessory is missing. But I said in the description that it's missing said accessory!

I had an Ultimate Storm Shadow on auction. In the title and description I put, GI Joe Retaliation Ultimate Storm Shadow. Even had pictures and all his accessories with the unmasked head that figure comes with. The description also included that he's the 4 inch figure. This guy messages me and asked if he's the 6 inch figure. Huh? What?

i have way more than that. a lot of them come from when i was into prop making.
i put a few things to cover my ass on ebay on all of my listings. it's saved as a draft so i use it without forgetting to add it. "ITEMS ARE SOLD AND SHIPPED AS IS CONDITION." "ALL SALES FINAL. " "By bidding on this auction you agree to these terms." you're fucked if you dont mention something in your ebay item in the description, the photos, or both. by saying these things, i figure i'm good. reason 1. they should be reading the whole description too. reason 2. i dont want someone buying my shit, playing with it, breaking it, and returning it (someone tried doing that before with me.) if it's broken or far from perfect my description and photos says so. it might even say if it doesnt sell, im throwing it out - and i've done it. the last thing i sold (a small box of leftover fisher price construx i havent touched in 30 years) was right next to the garbage can. that last one i think is particularly good because im beholden to the listing, the buyer should be beholden to it also. and ultimately, i'd rather chase someone away and have no money. than have no money and no item. Yeah I thought about doing that. I'm downsizing and been getting rid of stuff on eBay. Had a guy the other day say he didn't get something but it said it was delivered. I told him I contacted USPS about it and it ended up being delivered to his mailbox. I thought he was trying to pull a fast one but he had good reviews and he ended up dropping the complaint after it was delivered..."again".

Well it?s in the auction title and description genius. I also get hey will you take X amount for this item even when there?s best offer option on it. Usually a lowball amount I don?t even respond to just let the item to sell because I usually don?t list for top dollar. These threads are always fun though.

I get this so often. I tell them the listing states whatever it is and to read it. I don?t mind giving a harsh answer because I don?t want that buyer anyway.
I get this often too. What size is this figure? Well it?s in the auction title and description genius. I also get hey will you take X amount for this item even when there?s best offer option on it. Usually a lowball amount I don?t even respond to just let the item to sell because I usually don?t list for top dollar. These threads are always fun though. Aslo, as a seller, when I get asked a question that's covered plainly in the description (usually "when is this going to ship?"), I respond with "per the listing description..." like a robotic asshole every single time, because of course I do. You'd be surprised how often that garners an embarrassed apology!

As a guy that predominately buys, I just don't understand the point of a lowball offer. I literally have like an 80% accepted offer rate because I know no one wants to give things away. To me it's like saying "I don't actually want to buy this, I'm just bored".

You'd be surprised how often that garners an embarrassed apology! Allow me to play the role of hypocrite, here. First, if anyone messages me a low-ball offer, in a rude manner, then *BOOM*, instant ban. LOL Conversely, I used to low-ball folks. I don't really do it anymore, because I don't buy much on eBay anymore, and I've come to realize it's in poor taste. ***HOWEVER*** I DID score some amazing deals from folks who actually accepted my low ball offers. (That was how I scored a sealed AT-AT for $80/shipped, and a lot of complete 85 vipers for $3.25/each). So I understand why they do it, because sometimes it works. However, I also understand why sellers get pissed.
