I'm stupid excited. Next weekend, I'll get to see my favoritest band in the whole wide world play the closest thing they've done to a deep cuts show in many many years at a brewery, and it's gonna be the coolest shit ever. Almost as cool as the fact that I've managed to catch The Smashing Pumpkins in the 90s, the 00s, the 10s, and now the 20s.
They did a three-hour set back in '18 - The Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour. The best concert I have ever attended, beyond a shadow of a doubt. But I've been lucky. I've managed to see Alice Cooper (who put on what was easily the second best show I've ever seen), A Perfect Circle, Stone Temple Pilots like three times, Foo Fighters, The Chili Peppers, Disturbed, Godsmack, etc. My biggest concert regret is missing Roger Waters about ten years ago in Atlanta. I'd love to go back in time and kick my ass for that one. So what was the best concert you saw? What acts have you managed to catch? Did anyone suck? Fuel kinda did. Meet anyone? Bumped into the Disturbed folks after their set, myself. Lead singer was kind of a dick. Their bassist was super cool, though. Scott Weiland was absolutely annihilated at pretty much ever STP show I caught and climbed up to the upper seats during one of the shows. Thought I'd get to see him fall. Glad I didn't. Anyway. I made a thread. Feel free to reply. Or not. Either way, Ima get to hear Billy Corgan scream like it's 1996 during x.y.u. next Saturday, and I'm really really really looking forward to that.

The wife and I also have tickets for both Friday and Saturday night Nine Inch Nails shows at Red Rocks in Colorado in September! That should be a fun one.

I used to go to a ton of concerts in the 90s and early 2000s, but I haven't been to any recently. I am proud to say that I've seen many good ones though:
My first concert was The Dead Milkmen at the Baker Center on the Ohio University campus in 1992. Here are some other concert highlights: Tool and Primus at Caddy's in downtown Cincy in 1994. Orange 9MM and Clutch at Bogarts in 1995 Melvins, Reverend Horton Heat and White Zombie at Hara Arena in Dayton in 1995 Violent Femmes in 1996 Helmet in 1996 Gwar(what a great concert) in 1996 Phish in 1997 A new rock radio station, 96.5 opened up in late 99 or so and I used to win tickets all the time in the early 2000s from there. I saw these concerts with free tickets: Roger Waters George Thorogood and the Destroyers/BB King Fuel/Aerosmith Blink 182/Green Day She Wants Revenge Theory of a Deadman/Three Doors Down Finger Eleven/Sevendust/Creed Jimmy Eat World(I got to meet this band at a meet and greet before the show, so that was sweet) Crazy Town/Seether Probably the greatest concert I ever went to was Farm Aid 2001 in Indianapolis. They had Martina Mcbride, John Cougar Mellencamp, the Doobie Brothers, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Dave Matthews, and Willie Nelson. I was absolutely stoned out of my mind lol. First major concert was Nirvana with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs opening act back in ‘94, just wow! After a quick after thought, it was the Breeders that opened! My badz.

07GT500Cobra, I've got tickets for Nine Inch Nails in September as well when they play in Berkeley. It will be the 4th time seeing them and I can't wait. I;ve heard Red Rocks is an amazing venue and I wish I could travel to see them at a few different spots while they tour.
My favorite concert of all time was the first time I saw Rammstein with KMFDM. It was before they had taken off so I wasn't as familiar with them. When Till Lindemann lit himself on fire and sang in a burning trench coat, I was hooked.

Saw St. Vincent at Radio City Music Hall this past October. Last concert prior to that, unfortunately, was probably taking my cousins to the "Teletubbies Live" show (while I was back in the UK).
PS Since I'm sensing a bit of a "generation gap", some of you may not be aware of St. Vincent, so here's all you need to know about her: When Nirvana was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Kurt Cobain was (obviously) unavailable to perform. And who the band chose to fill in for him should "say it all"/"speak volumes" ...
