There is a real sense of plausibility to what they're saying about the Space Program - What the U.S. needed during the Cold War was a victory over Russia, it didn't really NEED to go to the moon. It is cheaper, and a guaranteed success if the U.S. faked the moon landing and much of the space program. And that's basically what they're saying. Why go to all the trouble of actually going to the moon, especially considering how expensive and risky of an endeavor that is. All the U.S. had to do was fake it for the P.R. victory in the Cold War. I've seen the capsule in the Smithsonian. The computer system used by the Apollo rockets is less complicated than a TI-82 calculator. It's not completely ridiculous that it was faked as an effort to win the Cold War. I mean, honestly, is the government really in the business of exploration for no gain? Or is it more in the business of trying to win wars... especially back then?

Umm...this is a political map. It's not drawn to scale. The purpose is to point out different countries and their borders and their general location.

This makes me want to start my own society (or cult), based on the most ridiculous thing I can think of, just to see how many douchebags actually join. And a prerequisite to join is that you have to let me sleep with your daughters. I'm sure some nut job would sign up.

The only thing worthwhile in space is the Super Earth out there we will need to populate once this one's filled up.
We'll discover it in time to develop the technology to get there before there's absolutely not enough room here. |
