It all depends on the cash flow and the mood.
Cheapo's are Ice House, MGD, or PBR Mid Range: Labatt, Red Stripe, Sam Adam's Black, Newcastle, Smithwicks, and of course Guiness (Draught, not Extra Stout) Then there's porters and ales that come in the champaign type bottles, Au de Monde, Dragon's Milk, Chimay, and some porter that I can't remember the name of but it tastes and smells like f'n BACON!!! (One of the club/bars here in Chicago has it on Tap!!! Risque Cafe on Clark st. 300 different beers, and 100 different whiskeys...A boozer's dream! Plus the grub is damn tastey...Southern style...If you ever get the chance, get the Brisket platter with a side of Country Fried Bacon...then polish it off with a shot of Virginia Lightning!)

If I was forced to choose a mass produced domestic beer as my only beer to drink, it would be a shiner bock or Shiner Kosmos.

If I'm running out for a six - I'll usually grab something by Sam Adams, or Guinness, or something that isn't Coors, Bud, or Miller.
If I'm out at a bar, I try to sample beers I haven't tried before, and I've taken a liking to Chimay varieties, Delirium Tremens (and other varieties of theirs), and some other Belgian and German brands to be very good. I also live close to an Iron Hill Brewery restaurant/brewpub, and they have some fantasic micro brews. their Pig Iron Porter is incredible. |

ALRIGHT PEOPLE!
Warm weather is starting to become the norm, so what beers are you looking forward to on those hot days?! Me, I'm I'm looking forward to Sam Adams Summer Ale, Corona, Land Shark, and Sapporo. I won't complain if I can find some Dinkel Acker too! |
