Mr Wonderful and Greg the Hammer Valentine, although Valentine was also Ric Flair's teammate as well. Then again you have your true tag teams, and those teams that were made up of teamed up individual wrestlers.

You should do managers next, blayze5150, and then promoters/announcers/commentators/interviewers (is there a catch-all term for those guys and gals?).

Okay, Managers:
10- Paul E. Dangerously- Whitty, entertaining, and later one of the driving forces behind the '90's wrestling boom. Paul E. made you hate him. He also helped launch the career of "Mean" Mark Callous, who had quite a career after becoming a deadman... 9- Paul Ellering- "Precious" Paul was more than just a mouthpiece for the fearsome Road Warriors. He was actually their manager: booking hotels, flights, rental cars, and keeping the boys in line. That task alone puts him on the list! 8- Percy Pringle/Paul Bearer- He may have made this list for his work in World Class alone- but his later work as Paul Bearer solidifies his place in history. 7- J.J. Dillon- The mind of the Four Horseman. Great mic skills. Real convincing manager, but would have ranked higher had he not been paired with four guys who were already superstars... He later made a great authority figure in WCW. 6- The Grand Wizard- As a heel manager, he was the very definition of sleazy. All you had to do was be seen with him, and the fans hated you. Great counter-part to Superstar Graham. 5- Jim Cornette- The guy who made tennis a contact sport! Was one of the biggest parts of the NWA machine in the '80's. His mic skills are unequaled by any manager, and he's even better than most wrestlers! 4- Elizabeth- Randy Savage may have not been a World Champion if it had not been for Elizabeth. Her portrayal of classy and intelligent, yet frail and vunerable was actress quality. Some may not agree with her name being on this list. Those people weren't around during the Hogan-Savage era. 3- Bobby Heenan- Who wouldn't argue that "The Brain" wasn't one of the all time greats. He made you believe he hated Hulk Hogan in the '80's. 2- Jimmy Hart- "The Mouth of the South" had a great run in the territories before he showed up in WWE. Almost all the big name heels from that era were at one time managed by Jimmy Hart. 1- Lou Albano- Led 15 different tag teams to the titles. Great run as a heel and a face. Best ever. Period. Honorable Mentions: Freddie Blassy, Oliver Humperdink, Arnold Skaaland, and Sherri Martel |
