I’m looking to get it also. Unfortunately, it doesn’t necessarily keep you from getting it or spreading it. It just fights it more effectively once it enters your body. So for those it works on, it helps that person be less likely to have serious effects of the virus. But they are saying to still wear the masks etc because a vaccinated person might still be able to spread it.

I got my 2nd Pfizer Covid 19 Vaccine yesterday afternoon. I was fine the rest of the day, but this morning I woke up with chills and body aches. I had them all day but now I'm finally feeling better.
I recommend that you plan to do nothing the next day after you get your vaccine for both doses. I was fine after the first dose, but this 2nd dose has been an adventure. The peace of mind knowing that I'm protected now is priceless!!! I’m part of a long term research study that involves getting a nasal swab once a week, antibody testing quarterly, to study how long the immunity lasts. |

Correct me if this isn’t quite right: scientists still need more time to test for reduced transmission, no? The research has only been able to study the prevention of serious illness by vaccines because long term studies are necessary to really answer the transmission question.

Planned to update this thread but busy at work.
So, got my second dose 2 weeks ago today. Feeling good. I had flu-like chills and body aches the day after getting the 2nd dose along with a sore shoulder like after the 1st dose. Felt like shit. In fact, shut my clinic down and left work a couple hours early. But I expected and even hoped to have those symptoms. Means I was getting the desired immune response. Anyhow, I recommend taking the day off after getting your second dose.

I should get my second shot on the 28th. Thank you for the warning. It helps to know what to expect.
