I made the jump to managed payments back in January, just so I could switch on "my terms" instead of being forced over at a later date. I actually thought it was a fine program, especially once sales and payouts were on a regular cycle for my store. It got even better as they added "normal" features like paying for shipping from payments and Global Shipping Program support.
The best change (at least to me) is charging a single fee for the entire transaction, as opposed to separate fees from PayPal for payment and eBay for Final Value Fees. I also like the fees being taken from each payment right away, as opposed to being invoiced at the end of the month. Finally with the way the Top Rated discount applies to the new fee structure I end up saving an extra percent or so on fees, which is fine by me. Now for the bad... I have noticed eBay and Managed Payments running somewhat poorly since they started moving everyone over. eBay's site has been very buggy the past several weeks, and Managed Payments is not the smooth system I experienced from January-June/July. Payout timing and schedules seem irregular, I don't always get email notifications when they happen, and on two instances I couldn't even access the payments page for several hour blocks. Not overly comforting to get a sale and have to ship without being able to verify that payment went thru. I hope eBay gets their system glitches straightened out, but I'm expecting a bumpy holiday season with more headaches than usual.

Right on man.
As far as I can see, nothing has changed with my account. I put up a dummy listing andselected PayPal only, as I always have. I do know that when they first announced it a year(?) or so back, they said that "select sellers" would be involved in testing it out before the main rollout- were you a part of that?

If I’m going to get another percent or two on top of the rated seller discount I’m more inclined to accept being forced to link a checking account to eBay. I’m still going to pursue other avenues though. eBay is, well not what it used to be for sellers.

Nor buyers, for that matter. I definitely prefer dealing here when I can.

I just checked and I am still able to select Paypal as a payment option for auctions I have. I'll keep an eye on it though. Ebay/Paypal was pretty seamless for both buying and selling so it stinks Ebay is trying to take over payments.

Turns out the September deadline only a deadline for me to sign up for it. It still hasn't taken effect for me yet (on ebay's side). I believe in mid November it's going to take effect....which is the time of year my sales start to go nuts. That should be fun, learning a whole new system right when my sales are highest.

So I was just pushed onto this madenss. Has anyone had issues getting paid with this headache?
I registered my bank account by signing in directly to my bank through their tab on Ebay so I know didn't mistype my account or routing info. Sales made with listings posted before the switch are processing fine through Paypal. Sales made with listings posted after the switch are not appearing in my Paypal nor my bank account. Anyone else experiencing this? UPDATE:it seems I may not see the payment for 1-5 days depending on my bank. I'm not as comfortable with this as Paypal posts the transaction and details asap. Also I like to keep the money I make from Ebay separate and had the option to dump money into my account from Ebay if I needed. Now it's just a big mess. I'm not very happy with this at all.

My issue, they're transferring the money to my bank, which is good, but the eBay screen where it is supposed to show the details of this, seems to be missing. When I click managed payments, it sends to me a checklist page, as if I need to go through the ore sign up check list, but I'm already signed up.
Also, if you print labels through eBay, make sure you change your payment option on the label print page. Otherwise the shipping charge still comes out of PayPal.

My issues is I have to ship out within 24 hours to maintain Top Seller status. Ebay is telling me that the customer has paid, but I'm shipping out items before I see the money in my account. I'm still not happy about this at all. I haven't seen any of the payments from the sales on the 11th. I know the 11th was a Federal Holiday but this does not inspire confidence. UPDATE: So I just got an email that they just processed my new set up (after 2 days). I'm hoping the money from the sales made during the interim starts pouring in and did not fall through some crack. It was only about $50 worth of loose figures but still.
