Hit one a couple years back. destroyed my front end and I think I only made it angry. But it did defecate down the side of my car. After it was completely repaired, I still couldn't get that smell out. I think if a vagabond crapped in my car, the smell wouldn't have been as bad.

yeah ive heard of some hoar stories as well. you are lucky all you damaged was the car.
i heard once (this was a moose not a deer mind you) the guy had a old chevy (may have been ford but you get the picture). the deer flipped up the hood, went through the windshield, out the back, and landed in the bed. He had a few scratches but was ok. 2 things that amazed me.1. the truck with the exception of the broken glass and a a little dent on the front bumper was fine and drove him home no problem. 2. the moose was still alive. i dont know if he killed it and ate it or what but it goes to show you they dont make them like they used to anymore.

I know the feeling, man. I grew up in PA and dodging deer was a routine chore when driving.

My wife and I hit one driving to work (3rd shift) back on December 14. There were actually 2, a buck and a doe. We hit the buck... and 8-pointer. We were driving a 1992 Buick Century (inherited from grandparents when they passed) and it messed up the front end pretty bad, but was still drivable. The buck, however, got totally OWNED. He laid there (dead of course) for 3 days before animal control finally came and picked him up off the side of the road. I think the worst part of it was the "oh shit!" factor right before the impact. I remember reaching over and grabbing my wife. We were ok and ended up giving the car to my parents (dad fixed it). We DID get a new car out of it though.
Glad to hear that you're ok though. I have a friend who just went back to work after owning a deer while riding his motorcycle. Way I hear it, the bike basically sheered the deer in half. After being thrown 30+ feet, he spent the next 3 weeks in the hospital. Damn |

That sux man, I live in Colorado, dodging deer/elk is just part of driving sometimes. I've hit a couple deer and one hit me. Ran into the side of my truck, didn't do much damage but scared the sh!t out of me! Glad your OK man, doesn't always work out like that.
