It really is because a few years back one of my coworkers, a cat lover, wanted to take the two cats home. When he asked about it the DOE representative refused to let him and told him that the cats are considered federal property. He should have just brought the cat home. The DOE wouldn't have noticed, I imagine.

We have armed security at the gates that check and search our lunch boxes and any bags as we go in to work and as we leave to go home.

Are they worried y'all will steal the Oil? LOL I can just imagine a guy building a huge retirement next egg, buy bringing home a lunch box full of oil, one day at a time.

Just have him toss the cat over the gate at the end of his shift (he'll land on his feet). Then go get him on the other side after he leaves.
