From the department of "it's not only action figures/why do I even bother with retail anymore":

Walked into a large furniture store on Saturday, and of course the salesman approaches me immediately. H says "just to let you know, we don't have anything in stock right now. It will be at least 3-4 weeks before we can get things in, possibly longer" I wanted to ask him, then what the F am I even doing here? It *was* nice to see the floor models in person though (they also refused to sell me a floor model, grrrr). We ended up ordering a dope coffee table at a good price, but that shit isn't gonna arrive until damn near July. Unbelievable.

Also, went in two different Walmarts looking for a new tool box, and they didn't have crap. Ended up ordering online.

Other than a boxspring and mattress i give major furniture places the big middle finger. Most of the time ive gone in they seem snooty like its a privilege for me to even be in their presence. Thats why i get most of of my stuff at second hand stores. Sure i gotta delouse the hell outta them but a bit of this and a dash of that and viola.

Dont you hate it when people threaten you over something so trivial? And I too have been experiencing the shortage of literally everything: was looking for some sunglasses to replace my old ray bans and they aren’t getting any ray bans at all for the foreseeable future!
