I was in Ross last night, and I saw a Star Wars Black Series Riot Control Baton, for $44. This was originally over $100. I was so tempted, but this thing was never really on my radar for my own collection. It's also too big to try and resell, so I let it sit.
Remember a day or two ago I said I was worried about all the bullshit toys clogging the shelves and not enough room for the good shit? Well, I found this giant, quality, Black Series Riot Baton haphazardly balancing on top of a smaller nerf gun package, just waiting to fall. Anyway, this makes me wonder if the Black Series Light Sabers will also start showing up at Ross. I'd buy Luke's light Saber in a heart beat. |

It started a few years ago when I saw the Rogue One AT-ACT for like only $90 (original retail was $300). I passed it up (was lucky enough to still score it after the fact on eBay....for like $115). A couple years ago my local Ross had an entire fleet of Kylo Ren's Tie Silencer, and they were only like $8 each, or something ridiculously cheap like that. I passed them up because the line was too long. They were gone days later. Last year it was Jurassic World stuff, as far as the eye can see, especially the indo-raptor. They were dirt cheap and would have made great items to list in my eBay store. I passed, not realizing how popular Jurassic World stuff is. There's been several other examples. Then this year comes the Riot Batons. Guess we'll see if I regret it later. All that said, Transformer fans must be heaven this past month or two with all the high end Transformer stuff I've been seeing at Ross lately. Lucky them. I gave Mr. Hembine a heads up via PM about it, but no idea if he had any luck.

I have this December "Tradition" , where I see cool shit at Ross, pass it up, and then kick myself later for not buying it.

I’ll hit up Ross after work today. I’ll report my findings. I guess since I can’t really do interviews I can do some store reports.
