Thanks. I think I went to heavy on the silver, but it's my fist attempt at painting so I am pretty happy with them.

The deck would be fairly thin plywood, for the deck elevator, I figured I'd take drawer rails and turn them upright, then drill a few holes in order to put pins thru to lock it in position either at deck level or at hangar level. The catapult just have to look functional, so I figured I'd take my router and make a groove that they could ride in, then fashion something that resembled the catapult that would fit behind the landing gear of whatever plane is being launched. As for the blast doors that come up when they're taking off, I figured I could probably use piano hinges with a fold out bar that would hold it in the upright position, same idea for door/ramp on the well deck. The hull would be made out of 1"X 2" or 2"X 2" boards then sheeted with wood veneer. I want it to be big enough to launch a phantom along with skystrikers or f-18 hornets, plus helos(tomahawk, Blackhawk, apache, skyhawk). I'm thinking it'd be 10'X 4', I haven't concreted that part yet.

Dude I'm down, hell even if we're not building something, I'm always down for booze. Btw, you should be getting something in the mail in the next day or so, I was late getting the heads in the mail.

Definite props on the 1st time, I always think about painting, then when it comes down to it, I'm like "Um, I suck at this, so back in the box for you." |
