Indeed. Murray would need a lot of ppl to get hurt to get MVP. Definitely has good shot for offensive ROY tho. Lamar looks like a front runner for MVP but Mahomes could explode down the stretch and get it. Wilson and Garoppolo have a lot of MVP momentum too tho. The sports press loves Christian McCaffrey too who is a one man offense like Lamar. Brees and Brady are never out of the conversation either. Although it would be nice to have someone new.

Hopefully. It would be great to see them do that in the playoffs. The 49ers didn’t show anything different in that game which is really not surprising from Kyle shanahan. Niners have beaten all of 4 teams that have a winning record. Maybe they weren’t showing much in a big game because they didn’t want to tip their hand to other playoff bound teams.

What’s more concerning is the lack of effort from the Patriots in their Ravens game. They lost it while they didn’t show anything to the Ravens. Only ran basic high school type plays the whole game. I really think the Patriots took a knee that game to let the Ravens show their playbook, and Ravens showed everything. Lamar will have to look a lot more like Wilson to rebeat the Patriots in the playoffs. I hope I’m wrong, I would love to see a Chiefs and Ravens AFC championship game.

I don’t see the Niners beating the Seahawks or Saints in January. That defense is stingy but they lack the punch that other NFC teams have.

Great point ax. Jimmy learned the ropes and got a great gig in SF and made an immediate impact. Belichick has gone to two more Super Bowls. So far everyone is gaining from that ordeal. Except for jets fans. They never gain anything from these deals.

Do you think Belichick continues when Brady does retire? Or are their fortunes completely tied together?

Good question. Since Belichick wanted to keep Jimmy over Brady it's clear he has aspirations after Brady. I think it just depends on who replaces Brady. Bill won't hang around during a rebuild imo.

This. If he finds a guy he likes, I think he sticks around. Part of him probably wants to win one without Brady just for ego.
