I have seen a Wrestling event since the days of wcw and NWO. I think by the time that was wrapping up I was done with wrestling. So I wont be watching tonight but this post did dig uo some fond memories for me. Of the good old WWF days of the Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and Summerslam.

I couldn't agree more. I think by then my interest had already faded and I wasn't watching any more but my lil bro still was holding on to it. Once he told me Scot Hall showed up on Nitro I beganto watch again until WWE went and monopolized the industry by buying out the competition. That was the end for me. I think I may have continued a few more years had that not turned out the way it did. I think the Monday night wars gave a reason for both companies to step up thier game.

I expected more from it, too. I'm not very up to date on the programming so I'm not qualified to judge much, but I watched it for the Goldberg-Lesnar angle, not to mention seeing the Undertaker, and I just thought the match itself would be better. The last Rumble I watched live was back in the 90s.

Thought it was ok, the ending was over booked,
Best part for me was Corbin and Dillenger And Gallaher was awesome. I enjoyed the Miz, but his reward for killing it all year was to take everyone's finisher or signature moves. Roman at thirty sucked. Not sure Goldberg was supposed to get eliminated when he did. Looked like he was supposed to dangle but slipped off. He looked pissed and Undertaker looked surprised and then they went into like two minutes of Undertaker choke slamming everyone (perhaps to get back on track ) Orton winning sucked, even if Wyatt is getting the title at EC. It should have gone with Wyatt winning and Orton winning at EC with Wyatt telling him to lay down for him and he then refusing , yes cliched story but it always is a compelling story. I hope they. Do something with Harper now too, his moment was pretty sweet |

I was disappointed there were no "Legends coming back for one last round" types, but it was cool to see Goldberg, Lesnar and Undertaker in there. I think they should have more well-knowns in there instead of so many jobbers, but I guess that's why I don't work for WWE.
Cool to see Cena get the win and tie Flair. I know a lot of peeps don't care for Cena but I think its a cool nod. Orton winning was kind of a shock, but it's been a while since Orton was in a big time match like he will be at WrestleMania. Too bad we didn't see Sgt. Slaughter in the rumble. They could have had him take out a few third stringers. |
