and where does their magical money tree come from? Taxes have to come from somewhere.
The US is taxed out. raising more taxes is not going to cut it here. There's already enough Gov't control than we need. Might as well go total socialism then. BTW, this is a rational response and not in anyway an argumentative one. |

Seriously though, we have universal health and there are problems with wait lists for surgery. Our health care workers are overworked, underpaid, and worn thin. Every system is gonna have problems. These are problems more to do with resources and the way tax money is spent. It doesn't mean Universal Health care is at its core, flawed or doesn't work. There's a fundamental philosophy about not having universal health care that bothers me. I find it completely wrong that you can get health care, or better quality care, if you have money. Health care is something that the rich should not have a monopoly on. |

Much of the problem lies in the uninsured receiving healthcare and then skimping on the bills, which we in turn pay for in raised healthcare costs. Check it: Report: 9 Made 2,700 ER Visits In 6 Years - CBS News This, and many other reasons obviously, is why healthcare here costs so much.

The FDA scares the shit out of me at times. they allow stores to sell herbal remedies, and then when they prove to work, Big Pharma steps up and claims they are deadly to the FDA and has it pulled only to turn around and produce it themselves. THAT is why the Gov't can't be trusted, too much money by big interests/lobbyist. |

Well that's kinda the problem with our system. I say that we do what Star Trek does and just get rid of money altogether. If Captain Kirk can bang green women without money than so can we!

Actually what you state goes against the principles of capitalism. Competition between all of these awesome doctors should help lower prices. Not raise them. The problem is not with the doctors charging too much, trust me.

All health care systems have problems. I just don't think universal health care in this country will work. Maybe we as a country should think outside the box. I don't know maybe health care insurance reform or some other new and exciting idea I'm to dumb to think of.......... |
