Yeah the Education system is a joke, and don't say its for lack of funding either Here in CA we spend oodles of money per child, and there is still a 50% dropout rate in LA.

I'll give you the others but the USPS is entirely gov't regulated...thus making it a socialist program.

Single-payer healthcare isn't designed to standardize pay scales for medical professionals. According to surveys I've seen, most medical professionals are for single-payer healthcare. It's the private insurance companies that will make less money and the malpractice lawyers.
If the rate a Hospital can charge is set across the board, the rate they can pay their employees will have to be the same too. You can't set ones price with-out controlling all costs across the board.

No I now it is but if it wasn’t mandated in the constitution it would never last against its free market competitors.

Why this has been a very civil and grown up conversation/debate

That is if they can get single-payer pushed through. Most hospitals would love being able to bill one time to one payee. It would free up a lot of time. The problem comes from the other visions of universal health care. In order to standardize medical pay-outs the costs for medical care will have to be set at a standard rate. Hospitals will be told what they can charge for what.
If the rate a Hospital can charge is set across the board, the rate they can pay their employees will have to be the same too. You can't set ones price with-out controlling all costs across the board. I have spoke with a number of doctors who are my customers and they tell me how the hospital charges x price for some service. Then the insurance company dollars down the hospital by saying we will pay whatever less amount on the original X. So what happens then is the hospital OVER CHARGES because they expect the insurance company to dollar them down. This ends up getting the hospital more than what they would have and it ends up usually still being over the actual fair profit margin. So the insurance company raises their rates. This process just continues to push up the costs of health care and the costs of insurance. It is a scam. Both companies know it and do nothing about it. They make terribly large sums of money. Then when we need the insurance company to pay for hospital things, they say it is a preexisting condition or some other cop out so they don't have to pay. We pay them and then we don't get anything in return. This industry has become extremely powerful. Again, health care should be a social responsibility to our citizens. Not some kind of money grubbing business as it currently exists as.
