I had a guy have a seizure in the beginning of a movie once. It was great cause he was really loud and noisy during the previews then he just fell over. The paramedics carried him out and the movie went on. It was quiet after that. Served the loudmouthed f**ker right!
i love the pre-views, almost more than the movie, but the commercials, they pi$$ me off |

i feel yah, the movie theatre is not a fun place anymore, its more of a hassle then anything. i normally alweys wait for the movie to come to dvd unless its something im really excited about like transformers revenge of the fallen, i will go to the theatres to see that.

me and my wife hardly go anymore cause so many things bother us...i hate putting my head against the head rest (i'm afraid of lice) we hate when people sit directly next to us...
and i HATE when we get there early to pick the best seat (always do) and the douche theater employee tells everyone "this is a sold out show, please move all the way to your left"...i always yell back (to my wifes dismay "NO!...we got here early on purpose, the late people can sit in the front rows! |

Probably my best movie experience was when I went to see the 2nd LOTR, really enjoyed the movie itself, very few people in the theater and I had "put somthing in the air" just prior to entering the theater.

went to see Star Trek opening weekend, maybe the monday after. I was cutting a little close because the concession stand was so busy and had only 1 employee there working the line. anyway not to worried about missing trailers i was walking down the hallway and caught a glimpse of a, how should i say a "traditional trekkie", pretty much running to toilet the opposite way. I got to the half full theatre and just got ready to sit down when turned there was the "trekkie"standing behind me. This is my seat he said! 150 seat auditorium and this was his seat. i looked him scare in frycooker and laughed because of disbelief. really i said laughing as well as most the people around. what a loser.

Back in the day, I could spend hardly nothing and enjoy a movie. Now its so expensive to take the family out and buy/do the popcorn thing. Do you know how many joe's I can buy if I just rented a movie at home, popped the popcorn, and watched it from my living room?....Alot! Just not worth it anymore.

You're right, the theater experience is terrible these days. People have no manners, no regard or consideration for anyone else around them. The service is usually lousy, the food and tickets are overpriced. Not to mention Hollywood has lost all sense of originality or intelligence, thus the shitty movies.
If I want to pay to be abused and treated badly, I'd just go back to my ex girlfriend |

I love the midwest. In my 30 years of movie going I have had 2 bad experiences, 1 when a group of mentally challenged people were in the theater and sat behind us and one kept spazzing out and kicking our seats and shouting jibberish. Then their chaperone told my wife to fuck off when she complained about it.
The other was when I went to Lord of the Rings and these highschoolers sat behind us and wouldn't shut up, so I turn and told the that I didn't pay to come here them talk. One got all tough and asked what I was going to do about it so I stood up and turned around (I am a big boy, 6'4" 280 former weight lifter) and asked him "What the fuck do YOU want me to do about it?" - never heard so much as peep from them the rest of the movie. I really do love going to the movies, but now adays it is mostly at the drive in.
